Barrique Room

French oak barriques for our wine

Il Barone wineyard develops a refined and “di riserva” line for red wines but is doing it also for the white ones.
The vinery proceed through the aging in French oak barrels that are held in the underground of the winery in a cellar room that is characterized by dark atmosphere and mantains a costant  temperature, same for summer and winter .

The aging in oak barrels represents an evolution of the harmonic components of the wine, components that exalt the aromas and the  structure. The aging in oak barrels differentiates on the type of wood and the toasting of the barrels. The refinement is a method that guarantees a delicate concentration of the wine substances; infact, through the wood, a part of water evaporates and so the aromas and the fragrances of the wine are much more enhanced.

Through this controlled evolution the wine holds up better the conservation and it is more resistant for a future oxidation. The contribution of the tannins refines those which are already present in red wine.
The main “di riserva” red wines of the company are Le tre Grazie, Anniversario, Vinage, Bova, Le 500 del Nicio, Dedicato ai Fondatori. All wines are different cause of time of aging; so our quality makes our products valuable.
